A Credit score rating is a way for lenders to evaluate the likelihood that you will pay back your loan. There are many things you can do to improve your credit score rating, such as never make late payments, don't go over your balance, keep your balances below 35% (some say 50%) But I always stay around 35%.

You can obtain your credit report from one of three credit bureaus, Equifax, Transunion, Experian.

Credit bureaus do not rate a persons credit file, but they do score your credit file. That's what lenders make their decision on when giving you a loan or line of credit.

Also, each lender follows similar guide lines and has there own underwriting.
