Recently I have heard a lot of debating about where you should draw the line on credit card spending to avoid damaging your credit score. I have researched this on the internet and have found arguments towards both the 30% and 50% limit. Meaning that at the end of every month, you make sure that you do not have a remaining balance of over 30% of the total available balance on your credit card.
So which is it? 30%? 50% I would like to open this post up for comments if any readers have heard something or know of any proof of an exact limit. The reasoning behind setting the limit is pretty simple. Obviously if it looks like you are over extending yourself financially by using your credit cards, then the lenders will see this and think that you are not financially stable.
On the other hand, is it really better to not spend at all? I mean if you don't spend then you have no credit history in the first place. So it comes down to using, and then paying off your credit cards in total every month, or at least making sure you don't go over a certain percentage. So my question to anybody reading this is what percentage do you think it is and why?
