Bankruptcy: How Bankruptcies Work
All bankruptcies are handled by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. There should be a
U.S. Bankruptcy Court in your Federal Court district. A petition for bankruptcy
is filed, creditors are notified,and the process begins. Following are the
general procedures for each type of case.

Tony writes: I understand that chapter 13 BK's remian on the CR for 7 years. Is that true or is it 10 years.

billy writes: IF mycredit report says charge off but it was inlcuded in the BK? SHould I go ahead and wait on it to expire, or dispute it as inlcuded in the BK
